eFootball PES 2021 crash issue update.

Today Konami released an update regarding the eFootball PES 2021 Season Update crash issue involving Master League and Become a Legend modes. Konami stated that they are "still hard at work to determine the cause" but have released a hotfix that may reduce crash instances for players. Below you will find steps on what to do to apply the hotfix as well as what to do if these measures have no affect plus details on obtaining a special myClub agent by way of apology for any inconvenience caused, the post is as follows:

Update (01/10/2020)

This is an update on the Master League crash issue affecting some users.

Our investigation has revealed that this issue is also affecting Become a Legend, however, we are still hard at work to determine the cause.

In the meantime, we released a hotfix on 01/10 that should reduce the incidence of crashes in both of these modes.

To avoid the crash issue, you will need to start a completely new game in the affected modes. Follow the guide detailed below on how to do this.

1) Access the [Settings] menu from the home screen of your PS4™ system, then go to [Storage] > [System Storage] > [Saved Data] and select the eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE. From there, select both the Master League Data and Become a Legend Data files, then press OPTIONS and delete them.

2) Download and install the latest game update.

3) From the top menu go to [Settings], then [Apply latest Live Update].

We strongly recommend that all users who are experiencing crashes follow the steps listed above. The same applies to any user that witnesses any of the following phenomena in-game:

・Player names being replaced by the word 'DUMMY' in Edit Mode.

・Multiple players named 'B. LENO' in Master League or Become a Legend.

・Player names appearing blank in the Game Plan screen for Exhibition Matches.

If you're still experiencing crashes even after performing the above steps, try the following, noting that the file locations are the same as those listed above:

Delete the 'Edit Data' and 'System Data' files, then begin a new game in each affected mode without creating any new Edit Data, and without applying the latest Live Update.

As a way of apologising for any inconvenience caused by this issue, we will be sending out a Scout that can find Legend players in myClub mode during maintenance scheduled for 08/10.

Even if you've never played myClub before, you will be able to obtain this Scout as long as you complete the myClub mode tutorial before the beginning of the aforementioned maintenance.

Scouts sent out as compensation can be obtained from the Inbox in myClub mode.

As a reminder, with the exception of players on Loan, any Legends you sign in myClub can be transferred over to Master League. To do this, open Master League, go to [System] and select [Import a myClub Player].

If following all the steps listed above does not resolve the issue for you, please send us an Inquiry Form from the official PES 2021 website.

Once again, we apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused.
