The PES gods giveth, the PES gods taketh away! At a time when we are all looking forward to big announcements and reveals, looking forward to events like E3 hoping for more info on what to expect from this years PES. While we know licenses can expire or be lost today's news was a bit of a bitter pill to swallow....especially for me. German giants Borussia Dortmund have decided to end their license agreement with Konami early. The deal which allowed the official use of player, stadium and kit likenesses in full wasn't due to expire until 2020 however, Die Borussen have decided to call time on the deal. This will now mean that all promotional shots of players, kits etc ( above ) and those beautiful images of the Westfalenstadion will not feature this year. No official reason has been given by either party as of yet. You can read the official post by Konami below, no such announcement has been made by Dortmund at this time. You will do well to note that Konami state that BVB ended the deal early not the other way around so lets not turn this news into a Konami witch hunt.
